Kenzo's Latest Fragrance is "Out of this World"

The collaboration between designer Ron Arad and Kenzo has produced something truly unique that fragrance (and packaging junkies) around the world, will love.

It"s called - Unidentified Fragrance Object.
The unique bottle, (pictured left), designed by Arad, is currently on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Since each individual bottle is hand-polished, only 1000 units will be produced for the United States.
Aurelien Guichard, the creator of the scent, broke with industry codes to create this fragrance. He rejected the traditional "olfactory pyramid" and instead focused on balancing between a powerful heart, “the marble accord” and four natural raw ingredients.

I really enjoyed this fragrance. I would describe it a statement maker, very bold and "smoky" in it"s feel, but in true Kenzo fashion, still very wearable and unique. The scent started out very warm on me, with lots of pepper, wood and incense notes. There was a very nice balance between this warmth/smokiness and the dry, streamlined quality it had - it never felt overwhelming or got too warm/smoky/strong.
The "dry down" was interesting in this fragrance, since it started out and continued to be so warm. It melded into a slighty less "dry" and more sweet scent, courtesy of the vanilla - all while carrying the main woody/smoky accords and becoming ever so slightly softer as time went on. The staying power was fantastic. This is a perfect scent to make a statement for a night out on the town or for a nice crisp fall day.
This one of a kind project will be in very limited distribution, only available at Bergdorf Goodman and kenzousa.com in August 2009. - RLB

Two more passes are miscellaneous work pass and training employment pass, which provide certain opportunities for people.

VIA Workers on Strike

VIA Rail workers are officially on strike according to a Union spokesperson; and with their actions this summer is shaping up as one of the messiest tourism seasons in recent history. Let"s see, the city and Toronto Tourism spend oodles of dollars to get tourists here only to watch them hurdle over garbage and travel via Greyhound buses. Seems like a memorable trip to me.

• Deed in lieu: Deed in Lieu of foreclosure (DIL) enables a mortgager to voluntarily deed collateral property for being released form all mortgage obligations.
• Partial Claim: In this option, the mortgagee advances funds on behalf of the mortgager; the amount is enough to reinstate a delinquent loan.
• Special Forbearance: this process lets you make a decreased monthly payment or no payment at all.

More housing woes

There's been plenty of talk lately about the US housing market bottoming out and that it can only go up from there. But people are clutching at straws. A good example is the paltry 0.3% increase in home purchases in the US. "We'll take the improvement in the new-home market as a sign we're getting closer to the bottom and we might see some stability in the housing market by the summer," Adam York, an economist at Wachovia Corp. in Charlotte, North Carolina told Bloomberg.

But the Mortgage Bankers Association's mortgage delinquency figures suggest the bottom is nowhere in sight. According to those figures, "the percentage of mortgage holders not current on their mortgages, was 12.07 percent on a non-seasonally adjusted basis, the highest ever recorded in the MBA delinquency survey.". Just think about that number - 12.07%. In other words, one in eight mortgagees are in serious trouble.

What's even more concerning is the fact that it's not the subprime loans that are the main cause of the problem. Prime fixed-rate loans now represent the largest share of new foreclosures. In other words, the crisis has now gripped the middle class with more people losing their jobs. As the MBA says, things won't improve until the jobs situation picks up and that won't happen for some time. So any talk about the housing market bottoming out is premature and irresponsible.
